making a pretty frontage
We have finally managed to start tackling the 6 foot high tangle of brambles and honeysuckle outside the cottage. Slow progress as everything has been growing together for many years. Even the fence has almost completely disintegrated. So far the big reveal has been slow and steady until the snow stopped play! We are looking forward to a new beautiful fence and gate to welcome our visitors to the cottage.

Winter Wonderland at Le Hazay
A beautiful start to the day.... an amazing winter wonderland. Check out the icicles on the cottage thatch. Our poor Mimosa tree bent over almost double due to the weight of the snow. The blooming Camellia covered in snow. Mork and Mindy not too sure... -8 tonight, hope their house is nice and cosy.

2021 First Make.... vintage Orange Marmalade
This years first Le Hazay make.... Vintage Orange Marmalade., using Seville oranges. Absolutely delicious even if i say so myself. A recipe given to me by a dear friend. It is definitely worth the time and effort to make this wonderful marmalade. I hope there will be some left for our Cottage guests to enjoy in the summer, but possibly not.
