This is a local landmark to us.... just at the end of the road. It is a communal oven, that has in the past been used to bake bread, maybe it was for the farm workers..They are quite common in the little villages of France. A small village near us usually holds a Bread Festival every year, where bread is baked and shared with the community. It draws a lot of people from surrounding areas. As you can see ours has not been used in a while! It has quite a fierce looking face.
We have 2 new Sussexes - Luna and Hermione, 2 new Cendrees - Myrtle & Minerva. Molly and Mandy the CouCou de Rennes are asserting their authority over the youngsters, its taken a few weeks but they all appear to have settled in with each other.
