Our newbie chickens have settled in well...

We have 2 new Sussexes - Luna and Hermione, 2 new Cendrees - Myrtle & Minerva.

Molly and Mandy the CouCou de Rennes are asserting their authority over the youngsters, its taken a few weeks but they all appear to have settled in with each other. Mandy leading them astray by bringing them to the front door and showing them how to get extra food!! Lots of beautiful eggs - all shapes and sizes.

They love exploring their new environment including inside the potager, balancing on the edge, jumping up and eating the raspberries and digging in the composting bin. Oh to be a chicken, such an easy life!

Enjoying some delicious watermelon on a hot day!
